Youth Skills
Studio (YSS)

Preparing today's youth to be effective members of the workforce & beyond!

What is the YSS?

Youth Skills Studio (YSS), in partnership with the Town of Lincoln, helps empower youth aged 18-29 by equipping them with the skills and experience needed to make valuable contributions in the workplace and beyond. We offer paid work integrated learning in technology-based fields, including Digital Marketing, and Website Development. Throughout an intensive paid four-month program, associates enhance their skills by working on real-world projects for local businesses.

Recognizing the importance of soft skills in professional success, we also focus on developing in-demand soft skills such as professional communication styles, leadership behaviours, and interpersonal skills. The available workshops provide an opportunity to cultivate non-technical skills. Personalized coaching and mentoring ensure associates possess the tools and resources to translate their YSS experience into their work and life. At Civiconnect, we encourage our associates to continue learning and developing outside the Youth Skills Studio
